Piper Jaffray Sees Apple TV with DVR Functionality and $0.18 EPS
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster - a widely quoted Wall Street speculator who is almost always wrong - now sees Apple-connected TV set on the horizon. I\’m skeptical. Customers have long begged for DVR functionality in AppleTV - but Apple tells us we don\’t. And besides it doesn\’t fit Apple\’s Pay-For-Content business model from the iTunes Store anyways. Perhaps someday the AppleTV will be a truly standalone device, but as it is, it\’s real value is unlocked when it\’s connected to and syncs with a Mac anyways. So why not just add a <a href=\"http://www.mac-digital-tv-tuners.com/\">Mac compatible HD TV tuner stick</a> to your Macintosh, record and export the content you like - and enjoy the best of both worlds: On your Mac - and on AppleTV?
